The first trailer, released on September 19, ahead of the film's world premiere at the London Film Festival on October 9, is as tense and awe-inspiring as you'd expect - packed with terrifying depictions of aerial bombing, raging fires, hollowed-out houses and flooded air raid shelters. There's also a majestic gloss to the entire film thanks to a stellar, Oscar-winning behind-the-scenes team: production designer Adam Stockhausen, who worked with McQueen on 12 Years a Slave and Widows, and regularly works with Wes Anderson, is responsible for the stunning re-creation of 1940s-era London; costume designer Jacqueline Durran (Pride and Prejudice, Atonement, Anna Karenina, Little Women, Little Axe, Spencer, Barbie) created the miniskirts and tea dresses; and Hans Zimmer provides the rousing score.

Luckily, we don't have long to wait: Blitz hits the big screen on November 1, before debuting on Apple TV+ on November 22. Then it's time to sit back, relax, and watch the accolades roll in. Victoria Beckham hasn't had a hit this big since 2000, when 'Holler/Let Love Lead The Way' topped the UK charts. Beckham's spring 2025 show topped the Vogue Runway charts with a bang in the top 10 this season, leaving its nearest competitor far behind thanks to a Google Discover boost.
The designer has never lacked star power, of course, but this is her first appearance on our list. That may be due to the August announcement that Netflix would be producing a new documentary series about Beckham and her fashion and beauty businesses. The build-up to the show and the making of the collection, which Mark Holgate said involved “taking more risks… and pushing the boundaries of what she can do,” will feature prominently in the series. Other new names on our list come from Ralph Lauren and Valentino. Lauren only shows collections semi-regularly on the New York Fashion Week calendar. This season, he took the show a day ahead of time, inviting Usher, Jude Law, Colman Domingo, and the First Lady to a horse farm in the Hamptons to see his vintage car collection and dine at a Polo bar built specifically for the occasion. That luxury was not overlooked. Certainly not at Valentino, where Alessandro Michele made a splashy, splashy debut. The event marked the designer’s return to the runway after a two-year hiatus (he left Gucci in November 2022) in front of a crowd that included old friends like Harry Styles, Elton John, and Florence Welch.
