“Please note that we do not buy clothes from individuals and do not accept consignment,” reads Depot-Vente’s Instagram bio. Read: This is not your typical resale shop. Founded in 2013 in Nawal Akl, Depot-Vente is a premier vintage store located in Beirut’s trendy Mar Mikhael neighborhood. The warehouse-style store really does look like a warehouse, except it’s stocked with vintage pieces from the ’60s to the 2000s. There’s a style Akl also considers when sourcing her pieces—youthful, club- and party-ready pieces that are ready for a night out.

Vintage Soul 101 isn’t in Beirut—technically, it’s just north of Jounieh. It’s also not an antiques store, but it’s still worth adding to your vintage store list because it stocks both vintage and recycled items (bags, tops, etc.) made from deadstock fabrics. You’ll find vintage F-listers (Givenchy jackets; Escada coats), but the real draw here is the recycled and repurposed pieces that mix fabrics together beautifully.
Second Base is a charity thrift store founded in 2017 by FabricAID, one of Lebanon’s leading social enterprises, that collects and redistributes clothing to disadvantaged communities across the country. They fund their mission by selling their “vintage, hipster, revealing, and out-there clothing” at a store in Beirut. Fashion month may be over, but spring 2025 continues to live on in our imaginations. While we’re still thinking about Alessandro Michele’s return to Valentino and the Coperni Disneyland show, we can’t talk about fashion without acknowledging the models.
